- What it truly means to be mediocre
What it truly means to be mediocre
And how people distorted the meaning of success
Happy Sunday.
I’m got sick some days ago and it feels humbling.
While I was lying in my bed, I had time to contemplate.
I’ll be quick, I realized 2 important things.
The first one is - physical exercise will make your life 10x better.
It’s self-explanatory, but the most benefits come from the mental part of it.
I just feel amazing knowing that all my daily actions compound and transform my body and harden my mind.
Not to mention that it’s scientifically proven to increase your willpower.
Now, to the topic of this newsletter.
The second thing I realized is - today’s definition of “success” is hella distorted.
It’s subjective, but many “successful” people I know are mediocre.
Like David Goggins said - they are “one timers.”
They got a good deal, a stroke of luck, and got complacent.
They’re good, they feel like they are at the top of the mountain.
This is what real mediocrity is.
The thing is - there is no top of the mountain.
When you climb one in life, there will always be another.
Some people just turn a blind eye to it to feel good.
“Never peak” mindset represents true success (for me, at least).
Relentless, continuous striving for the better.
I encourage you to never stay complacent with what you have.
Be grateful for it, but remember that you can always be better.
Wake up and decide to be better tomorrow, no matter what it takes.
Thanks for reading, peace out,
